Studies in the language of the Anglo-Norman translations of the Psalms with particular reference to the Oxford Psalter

Abstract:

Three Latin versions of the Psalms were known during the Middle Ages, the Roman, the Gallican, and the Hebrew. The Roman version was in the past believed to be the version written by St. Jerome as a correction of the 4th century Latin texts, which had become very corrupt textually.
