Innate sensing of bacterial flagellin in acute and chronic intestinal inflammation

Abstract:

Flagellin is a highly immunogenic, bacterial protein considered to be abundant in the intestinal lumen. It has been reported to be an immunodominant antigen in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
