Aim and objectives: In Mendelian Randomization studies, triglyceride (TG) lowering lipoprotein lipase (LPL) alleles and LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) lowering alleles have shown additional beneficial associations with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk.
