Cerebral ischemia during hemodialysis—finding the signal in the noise

Abstract:

Hemodialysis patients have multiple risk factors for small vessel cerebrovascular disease and cognitive dysfunction. Hemodialysis itself may cause clinically significant neurological injury through repetitive cerebral ischemia.
