The type 1 insulin-like growth factor receptor (IGF-1R) plays a significant role in tumor growth and spread, and IGF-1R inhibitors and antibodies are now undergoing clinical testing. However, factors that regulate sensitivity to IGF-1R inhibition remain unclear.
